Before I start, I’d like to offer a hearty congratulations to all competitors at this weekend’s track nationals, especially all of our medalists! Congrats to everyone from Marian, Lindenwood, Cincinnati, Wash U, and SIUE who competed, as well as to our sometimes-kinda-still-MWCCC friends at Lindsey Wilson. Actually, congratulations to all riders who made the journey to compete!
Now our attention turns to mountain bike season. This weekend brings us Lindenwood. Registration is now open, and can be found at https://www.bikereg.com/lindenwood-university-mtb. If you plan on competing in downhill, do note that registration is pre-reg only, as start times will be determined on Friday evening. On-site registration is available for XC, short track, and the team relay. The full flyer can be found at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z1eptAnZCjxECsj575LrtPdo0tKli0-B/view?usp=sharing
Update: There is also a Lindenwood specific waiver that needs to get filled out. That waiver is available here: https://www.mwccc.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/scan0007.pdf
Questions on this weekend’s racing can either be directed to me (bryan.garfoot@mwccc.org), or to Julie Carter or Joe Schnapp at Lindenwood.
If you do plan on competing this weekend, make sure that your USA Cycling collegiate license is up to date. If you need a mountain bike category upgraded, please submit those requests early this week for processing. Don’t expect to submit a request on Friday night and have it processed for the weekend. Please hold off on submitting any cyclocross or road upgrades until further notice. If you have any licensing or upgrade questions, send me a note.
Wish I could see everyone this weekend, but I unfortunately have to head to another race here in Michigan.
